The eggs that are lefts after 35, then there are some chances to develop the abnormality in these eggs.

1. Infertility

Women are born with limited numbers of eggs. As the women are age and when they are reaching at their mid-age of the 30s. Then the quality and quantity of the eggs are decreases.

Also, the eggs of the older women are not fertilizing as easily as younger women’s eggs are. So if you are at the age of 35 and not able to conceive for 6 months then consult with your healthcare provider.

Infertility also occurs in men with age because of the motility, semen volume, and sperm counts. These age-related factors make it more difficult for women to become pregnant. 

2. Stillbirth

Stillbirth is one of the most devastating things that happened during geriatric pregnancy. The women who have been pregnant in their 30s have a rick of stillbirth 1% and the women who are 40 then their risk is about 1-2%.

The doctors are more concerned about the going past dates if the women are older. Because the risks of stillbirth are higher in older women as compared to younger women.

For these reasons your doctor pay more attention to your pregnancy. They also recommend you induce the labor by 40 or 42 weeks.

3. Miscarriage

The chromosomal abnormalities are one the reason for miscarriage in the geriatric pregnancy. According to some studies, the chances of miscarriage in older mothers are more than younger women.

Because half of the first trimester miscarriages are happening because of chromosome problems in the baby. The risk of chromosome peoples are increase according to the mother’s age 

4. Gestational Diabetes

Gestational Diabetes is one of the most common risks of geriatric pregnancy. Because the risk of gestational diabetes increases as women is age.

According to the study the women who are under the 35 age have about the 3% Gestational Diabetes risk. The women who are 35-39 have a chance of Gestational Diabetes 5.3 %.

And the women who are 40 or above then they have a roughly 8% chances of Gestational Diabetes

According to the one study, the woman who is older 35s then she might automatically have fear of their pregnancy, baby birth and labor because of their age.

In some cases, there is fear leads to negative outcomes. But there is no need to worry about it because the pregnancy over the 35s will be perfectly healthy.

So, talk to your doctor about a healthy pregnancy. It will also decrease the risk of complications.
